OUR WORK
Architecture Panel Inc. was founded in White Rock, BC in 2018 as a genesis of a multiple experiences, skills, ventures and endeavours gathered over last 27 years and multiple precedent firms. It is one of the very few firms that offers a diverse and varied stream of services such as architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, interior design and planning under one roof. Our skills have been progressively honed by serving a wide typology of projects and clients spanning North America, Middle east and Asia.

Placemaking
Our philosophy is focussed in creation of spatial experiences in the built environment.. We strive to create a variety of elements in this built environment, both the buildings and the landscape, using the available inventory, natural and man made. Hence the placemaking is the guiding light of all our efforts.
Design Theory
Our work aims at using the out of the box, contemporary design language to find innovative solutions. The idea always remains to blend the efficient and sustainable concepts to solve the problems with as much of the contextual design culture and elements as optimally possible. Special emphasis is placed on achieving carefully detailed building systems for durability and longevity.
Process and Commitment
We approach projects with an openness to a participatory design process involving the client, project stakeholders, and the integrated design team. Many of our projects involve public consultation, which often helps shape the final design response. We work closely with and listen carefully to our clients, the stakeholders and the public, approaching this consultation with an honest effort to understand what the community is feeling about a new project and why they feel that way.
Us, (yes, who are we?)
Architecture Panel Inc. (API), as a precise entity was founded by Ruchir Dhall in 2018, as a consolidated form of multiple preceding firms as a fruit of crystallizing the experiences of a 27 year career span dealing with architecture, urban design, landscape architecture and planning. We sought to bring together these varied skills to our design philosophy that is wholesome, ever evolving, flexible, modern and diverse.. We believe that a greater exposure to solutions helps a design team produce their best work. Our experiences span over multiple continents, timelines, historical references and disciplines. We feel empowered by this variety to provide optimum solutions to our clients, however complex the design problem.

RUCHIR DHALL

Having secured a Master's degree in Architecture (with specialization in Urban Design) from India's premier School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, Ruchir started as a trainee architect at ARCOP, a Canadian firm's studio based in New Delhi in 1993. This gave him an opportunity to work on international award winning projects right from the beginning of his career. Continuing to hone his skills, Ruchir went on to establish his own practice in NOIDA, a suburb of New Delhi into a multi-disciplinary firm with projects from the Government, Semi-Government and the private sectors. These projects were extremely specialized and varied ones ranging from Waterfront Community Urban Design to Super computer installation facilities all over the country.
Ruchir's move to Canada in 2001 was challenging as the clouds of leaky condo were rife on the architectural scene at that time. It was extremely tough to get into architectural profession as a viable career choice for any new firms/registrants in that period. Ruchir worked his way through the residential sector design, construction, as well as trading to keep him in the loop for the local Canadian industry. Slowly and steadily worked to get registered first as a Landscape Architect with BCSLA and eventually with AIBC, making him an extremely rare breed to have both the registrations simultaneously.
His multi-pronged and finessed skillset gives direction to API's pursuit of design excellence that offers a streamlined opportunity to its clients to get ahead of the curve with an integrated and interactive consulting experience. Organically, as it is easy to figure out, we developed into a firm with a very holistic and inclusive design attitude that helps our clients both from the product as well as time perspective.
OTHER FUN STUFF!
At API, we strongly believe in fostering a work culture that is based on teamwork, collaboration, and inclusivity. We strive to create an environment where everyone feels valued and supported, and where we all work together to achieve our goals.
To that effect, we believe in working hard and playing hard. That's why we organize regular barbecues, potlucks, and hikes to keep our team engaged and motivated. We also encourage interactions outside of work between team members to foster a positive and collaborative and wholesome work environment.
